Charles A. Hollister Pre-Law Award

The Charles A. Hollister Pre-Law Award is a scholarship for junior and senior students studying Pre-Law at Eastern Illinois University. The award recognizes students who have demonstrated academic excellence, active participation in the Pre-Law Society, and commitment to legal education and community service. Recipients must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or greater and have been persistent members of the Pre-Law Society for at least one year. Academic requirements include completion of at least four courses detailed in the Pre-Legal Studies program and at least one public law course from the Political Science curriculum. The award also requires evidence of community engagement through either a law-related internship at Eastern Illinois University or other forms of community service. This demonstrates the award's emphasis on developing well-rounded future legal professionals who are committed to serving their communities. The award is announced and awarded in the Spring semester and provides varying financial support to qualifying students who meet all eligibility criteria.
