Charles C. Shaw Scholarship

The Charles C. Shaw Scholarship is awarded to incoming freshmen from Paxton High School or Mattoon High School who will be attending Eastern Illinois University. The scholarship prioritizes recipients in the following order: first, athletes attending EIU; second, Physical Education majors; and third, science majors. Recipients must be graduating seniors of good character and academic standing. Priority is given to students from Paxton High School, with students from Mattoon High School considered if no eligible Paxton candidates are available. This award is announced in the Spring and paid in the Fall semester.
