Charles Elgar Scholarship

The Charles Elgar Scholarship was established under the terms of the will of Ella Grace Elgar and is named for her husband, who farmed at Fernside near Featherston. This scholarship is awarded to students studying agriculture or horticulture at postgraduate level, with preference given to applicants from the Wairarapa area of New Zealand. The scholarship provides approximately $2,000 in funding for one year's duration to support full-time postgraduate study. One award is available each year for students enrolled in a postgraduate degree or diploma related to agriculture or horticulture at Massey University. Selection is based on academic achievements and place of residence. Applicants must be domiciled in New Zealand, with preference given to those from the Wairarapa area. The scholarship aims to support high-achieving students pursuing advanced studies in agricultural sciences and horticulture.
