About this opportunity

The Charles Herbert Currey Memorial Scholarship aims to support students who have experienced disadvantage or hardship to participate in an exchange or short-term mobility program. This scholarship has been funded by a bequest made in 1973 by Mrs Linda Currey in memory of her husband, Charles Herbert Currey, MA LLD. The scholarship is available to undergraduate students enrolled in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences at the University of Sydney who intend to undertake an exchange program or short-term mobility program, as well as interstate or international partner university students intending to undertake units within FASS at the University of Sydney. The scholarship specifically targets students experiencing financial hardship based on various criteria including Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander status, low socio-economic status, carer responsibilities, long-term medical conditions or disabilities, sole-parent responsibilities, regional or remote disadvantage, refugee status, LGBTIQ+ identification, or being first in family to attend university.
