Charlie Perkins Scholarship

The Charlie Perkins Scholarship is directed towards Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Australians who have the potential to become leaders in their field of study and in their communities. The postgraduate study must be undertaken full time in the United Kingdom at either The University of Oxford or Cambridge University. The scholarship covers up to three years of full university and college fees, travel costs, and an annual stipend to cover living expenses. A panel of prominent Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australians, together with a representative of the British Government and Cambridge Australia Scholarships, select the Charlie Perkins Scholars each year. These scholars represent some of the most extraordinary examples of Australia's Indigenous education achievement, supporting transformative successes in their communities through advanced postgraduate education.
