Chevening Energy Market Reform Fellowship

UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office Original Source

About This Opportunity

The Chevening Energy Market Reform Fellowship is funded by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office for senior officials and professionals from the energy sector in China. Through dedicated research, fellows will learn how to design and implement effective energy policies, navigate regulatory frameworks, and drive sustainable energy reforms. The fellowship offers a unique opportunity for three exceptional candidates to work on a research project that supports the broader aims of the UK-China Energy Dialogue. Fellows will explore issues such as improving market efficiency, transparency, and competitiveness in national energy sectors, addressing challenges related to grid modernisation, policy incentives, and sustainable energy adoption, and balancing demand growth with environmental concerns while ensuring reliable, affordable energy access. The fellowship takes place at the Centre for Energy, Petroleum and Mineral Law Policy (CEPMLP) at the University of Dundee.
