About This Opportunity

Chevening Scholarships are the UK Government's global scholarship programme, funded by the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCO) and partner organisations. The programme makes awards to outstanding scholars with leadership potential from around the world to study postgraduate courses at universities in the UK. Awards are typically for a one-year master's degree. The scholarships are for talented individuals who have been identified as potential future leaders across a wide range of fields, including politics, business, the media, civil society, religion and academia. Applicants should be high-calibre graduates with the personal, intellectual and interpersonal qualities necessary for leadership. Chevening Scholars come from over 110 countries worldwide (excluding the USA and the EU), and this year the scholarships will support approximately 700 individuals. There are over 41,000 Chevening alumni around the world who together comprise an influential and highly-regarded global network. The scholarship covers tuition fees, travel and a monthly stipend. A full Chevening Scholarship normally comprises payment of tuition fees (with a cap of £22,000 for MBA programmes), economy travel to and from country of residence, arrival and departure allowances, entry clearance visa application costs, TB testing contribution up to £75, travel top-up allowance, and monthly personal living allowance to cover accommodation and living expenses. The monthly stipend depends on whether studying inside or outside London.
