About this opportunity
The Chief Justice William A McGillivray Excellence Scholarship in Law is awarded to a student with superior academic achievement entering the first year of the JD degree program at the University of Alberta's Faculty of Law. The recipient will be selected on the basis of academic achievement on courses taken during the previous two years at any post-secondary institution. This endowed scholarship was established by Mary & Douglas McGillivray, QC (LLB 1975) and family, the firm of Burnet, Duckworth & Palmer LLP, and friends and colleagues of Chief Justice William A McGillivray (BA 1940, LLB 1941) to recognize and support outstanding students entering law school.
