Childcare Fund

The Childcare Fund is available to assist students in financial hardship with the cost of formal registered childcare expenses in Scotland. The fund is intended to provide a contribution towards study-related childcare costs, though it is not intended to cover the full cost of full-time childcare. UK students may be eligible for assistance with study-related childcare costs in the form of a grant which does not have to be repaid. Successful students will have their award paid directly to their childcare provider on a monthly basis. To qualify, students must be from Scotland, England, Wales or Northern Ireland, meet eligibility criteria for tuition fee payment, be registered and attending an eligible course, have taken out their full entitlement to a student loan, and have exhausted all other possible sources of funding. Applicants must be paying registered childcare costs and be able to prove they are in financial difficulty.
