Childcare Grant

The Childcare Grant is a grant provided by Student Finance Northern Ireland to help full-time undergraduate students pay towards the costs of childcare while they are studying. This grant is specifically designed to support student parents in higher education by covering childcare expenses. The grant does not need to be repaid unless the student is overpaid or leaves their course early. Income-related unemployment and housing benefits are not affected by receiving this grant. Students can apply for the Childcare Grant alongside any other available student finance as part of their annual student finance application.
