China Merit Scholarship

Teesside University offers the China Merit Scholarship to support eligible students coming to study at the University from China. The scholarship provides £3,000 in the first full academic year of study as a fee waiver for students enrolled in foundation, undergraduate, or postgraduate programmes. The scholarship is awarded automatically to eligible applicants who meet specific criteria, including English language proficiency requirements and academic achievement thresholds. Awards are made at the discretion of the International Scholarships Committee, considering financial background, prior academic performance, and other information provided through the application. Students must be domiciled in China, hold Chinese nationality, pay international fees, and study on-campus in Middlesbrough or Darlington. The scholarship cannot be combined with any other Teesside University scholarship, and there are a limited number of scholarships available.
