About This Opportunity

In partnership with McGill University, the China Scholarship Council (CSC) offers scholarships to outstanding Chinese students who will pursue doctoral studies at McGill. The China Scholarship Council (CSC) is a non-profit institution affiliated with the Chinese Ministry of Education. The CSC is responsible for the organization, management and provision of financial resources to Chinese citizens studying abroad and to international students and scholars studying in China, with the goal of developing exchanges between China and other countries in the fields of education, science and technology. The CSC provides annual funding for living allowance, international health insurance, return airfare, and visa application fees. McGill in turn covers the annual cost of tuition and fees (exclusive of International Health Insurance). McGill may provide additional financial support, subject to the availability of internal and external funding. Funding is provided for a maximum period of four years. Successful candidates must be Chinese citizens or permanent residents of China, must meet all of McGill's requirements for admission to a doctoral program, and must receive a conditional offer of admission from McGill. All candidates must satisfy the selection criteria set out by CSC. Upon completion of their studies and/or research, successful candidates must return to China.
