China Scholarship Council (CSC) University of Sussex Scholarships

The University of Sussex and the China Scholarship Council (CSC) are delighted to offer three-year joint scholarships for outstanding PhD students and visiting scholars (for up to 12 months) from China. As part of the University's support for Chinese students, the University of Sussex will cover tuition fees and the CSC will provide a living allowance. This scholarship program is designed to support Chinese citizens pursuing doctoral research at the University of Sussex, with up to 14 scholarships available annually. The program requires that successful candidates return to China upon completion of their studies and commence their academic studies in the United Kingdom in September 2026 or January 2027. Applicants must meet eligibility criteria set by both the CSC and the University of Sussex, including being permanently resident in China or studying overseas (those working overseas are not eligible).
