About this opportunity
This scholarship supports international students with an unconditional offer to study a PhD at the University of Sydney. It is a joint scholarship program between the University of Sydney and the China Scholarship Council (CSC). The scholarship provides comprehensive financial support including tuition fee coverage for up to 14 research periods (3.5 years), along with benefits from the China Scholarship Council such as a living allowance, return international airfare from China to Sydney, visa application costs, and overseas student health cover. In addition, successful recipients receive a supplementary scholarship through their faculty valued at a minimum of $10,000 per annum for up to 3.5 years. This scholarship is specifically designed for Chinese citizens who are not currently working or studying in Australia and are under 35 years of age at the time of application. The program aims to support outstanding PhD candidates pursuing research degrees at the University of Sydney while fostering academic collaboration between China and Australia.
