About this opportunity
The School of Theology and the Arts at St Mary's University offers five undergraduate musical scholarships commencing in the 2026/27 academic year. There are four choral scholarships (for Soprano, Alto, Tenor, and Bass) and one organ scholarship. The choral scholarships provide a stipend of £2,000 for three academic years, while the organ scholarship offers £3,000 for three academic years. These scholarships are designed for students who wish to pursue their musical passions alongside their undergraduate studies in arts, humanities, or theological disciplines. Choral scholars will participate in expanding the musical legacy of St Mary's by performing at Sunday Mass, carol services, and outreach activities. The organ scholar will have the unique opportunity to be the first to play on the newly-restored organ in St Mary's University Chapel and direct musical development for Mass and other liturgical events. Scholars will contribute to the spiritual and musical life of the University through performances at choral mass in the University chapel and at other recitals linked to the academic calendar.
