About this opportunity

This Scholarship has been established to provide financial assistance to a PhD student who is undertaking research in colorectal cancer within the Faculty of Medicine and Health at the University of Sydney. The scholarship is funded by a donation from the Maple-Brown Family Charitable Foundation Ltd. The successful applicant will be awarded the scholarship on the basis of academic merit, area of study and research proposal, and previous research experience. Candidates are assessed and ranked against paid work experience, publications (with the most points going to first authored Q1 journal publications), and other research outputs. The student assessment will account for 60% of the final score, while the remaining 40% will be based on the supervisor's professionalism and collegiality rating. Successful newly commencing international recipients may be eligible to be nominated for the University of Sydney International Tuition Fee Scholarship.
