Chubb Actuarial Scholarship (formerly Cigna Actuarial Scholarship)

The Chubb Actuarial Scholarship is offered by Chubb Life Insurance NZ Ltd to encourage students to consider the actuarial profession and the Actuarial Science major at Victoria University of Wellington. The scholarship has been established to promote Chubb as an employer of actuaries, providing health and well-being solutions to customers across New Zealand. The award provides up to $5,000 per year to cover tertiary fees for students demonstrating academic excellence. The scholarship is open to both domestic and international students enrolled in second year or later of BSc or BCom programs, majoring in Actuarial Science, Data Science, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, or similar majors. Preference is given to candidates intending to stay and work in New Zealand in the actuarial profession after completing their studies. The successful candidate may also be offered an internship at Chubb Life Insurance NZ Ltd over the summer break, subject to availability and work rights.
