About this opportunity
The CIBPA Foundation Bursary Program supports Canadian-Italian post-secondary students in achieving their professional dreams. The program offers financial assistance to students of Italian origin who are Canadian citizens and Quebec residents enrolled in Canadian institutions. The program provides bursaries across multiple categories including Financial Aid, Meritorious, and Vocational/CEGEP streams, with award amounts varying based on degree level and enrollment status.
The bursary program serves students at various educational levels including vocational students pursuing a Diploma of Vocational Studies (DVS), CEGEP students in three-year career programs leading to a Diploma of College Studies (DEC), and university students pursuing Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degrees. Both full-time and part-time students are eligible to apply, with different award amounts corresponding to their enrollment status.
Applicants must demonstrate their Italian heritage and provide proof of Quebec residency. The application process requires students to answer questions about themselves, their family and living situation, career aspirations and interests, and how their Italian heritage has influenced them. All bursary cheques are made payable directly to the educational institution rather than to the student.
The foundation emphasizes supporting the Italian-Canadian community in Quebec by providing educational funding opportunities that help students achieve their academic and professional goals across a wide range of disciplines and educational levels.
