CIMED projektbidrag 2027–2029

The CIMED project grant 2027-2029 supports clinical research projects of the highest quality at Campus Flemingsberg. The grant is aimed at clinically active researchers conducting research that requires healthcare structure and resources. The research must aim to solve health problems, identify factors leading to increased illness, or prevent illness. The grant also encompasses new experimental research discoveries that can be transferred to real patient benefit within the foreseeable future (translational research). Projects must be entirely located at Campus Flemingsberg and connected to one of the institutions at Karolinska Institutet at this campus. CIMED (Centre for Innovative Medicine) aims to support and strengthen clinical research at Campus Flemingsberg. The research must be conducted with high quality, contribute to increased knowledge about life processes that open possibilities for achieving health, and relieve and cure disease. A key requirement is clinical anchoring of projects, where at least one applicant must have employment within Region Stockholm, have an active role in the project, and be active in clinical service at least 30% of their time. The grant supports both junior and senior researchers who are employed by Region Stockholm or Karolinska Institutet. The principal applicant must have a doctoral degree and have the required competence in the area covered by the application. The grant is awarded for 1-3 years with funding between 0.3 to 1.0 million SEK per year. Grants are paid to the researcher's institution at Karolinska Institutet, provided that Region Stockholm supports CIMED's activities.
