About this opportunity

The Cindy Colvin Women in Computer Science Entrance Scholarship is an annual entrance award valued at up to $1,200 provided to an outstanding full-time undergraduate student who identifies as a woman entering Year One in the David R. Cheriton School of Computer Science in the Faculty of Mathematics at the University of Waterloo. This scholarship was established through a donation from Cindy Colvin, BMath '83 (Computer Science), to support women pursuing computer science education. Selection is based on academic performance, the Admission Information Form (AIF), and contest results as administered through the Centre for Education in Mathematics and Computing (CEMC). One scholarship is awarded annually, and no separate application is required as students are automatically considered for this award upon admission to the computer science program.
