About this opportunity
The Circle of Honour - George and Marsha Ivany President's First & Best Scholarships is a prestigious entrance scholarship offered by the University of Saskatchewan. The scholarship is awarded to one exceptional student of Aboriginal ancestry who is graduating from a Canadian high school and proceeding directly to university with a minimum high school average of 95%. The award provides $10,000 per year for four years, totaling $40,000 in support. This scholarship is one President's First & Best Scholarship that is set aside preferentially for Aboriginal students as a Circle of Honour award.
The scholarship is renewable for up to three additional years provided the recipient maintains an 80% average throughout their undergraduate studies. Selection is based primarily on academic achievement, recognizing students who have demonstrated outstanding performance in high school. Recipients must apply through the Best and Brightest Entrance Scholarships application form by December 15, and must also submit their admission application to the University of Saskatchewan by December 1.
