About This Opportunity

The City of Calgary Degree-Granting Scholarship is awarded to graduating high school students from Calgary Board of Education schools who are pursuing degree-granting programs at post-secondary institutions in Calgary. This scholarship supports students who have completed all of their high school education within the Calgary Board of Education system and whose parents or guardians have resided in Calgary during those years. The scholarship is designed to assist students with demonstrated academic achievement and financial need in transitioning to post-secondary education. Recipients must be registered in grade 12, completing high school diploma requirements, with a minimum 75% GPA in five level 30 courses. Within twelve months of high school graduation, recipients must enroll in an eligible degree-granting program of at least one-year duration at a Calgary post-secondary institution, including the University of Calgary, Alberta College of Art and Design, or qualifying baccalaureate programs from Mount Royal University. Selection is based on both financial need and academic performance, with recipients selected by September.
