City of Tampa Black History Committee Vocational/Technical Scholarship

The City of Tampa Black History Committee, Inc. (COTBHC) offers a non-renewable Vocational/Technical Scholarship for graduating African American high school seniors in Hillsborough County School District. This scholarship supports students pursuing vocational or technical education who have demonstrated academic achievement and community service commitment. Applicants must maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA (unweighted) and have completed at least 100 hours of community service through school, church, or social/civic organizations. The scholarship requires submission of a comprehensive application package including an essay on military service and sacrifice, three letters of recommendation from community leaders, official transcripts, proof of community service hours, a professional photograph, and a student biography.
