About this opportunity
The Civil Service Council Scholarship is awarded to support students with connections to Eastern Illinois University's Non-Negotiated Civil Service employees. This scholarship recognizes the contributions of civil service staff and extends educational support to their families. Recipients must be former, current, or retired Non-Negotiated Civil Service employees, or children or grandchildren of such employees. The scholarship is available to students at any level from freshman to graduate, enrolled in a minimum of six credit hours. Applicants must maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5 and be in good academic standing. High school seniors accepted to EIU must be ranked in the top 25% of their graduating class. Financial need serves as the determining factor when qualifications are otherwise equal. The award is announced in the Spring and disbursed in the Fall semester.
