About this opportunity
The Clare Galambos-Winter Scholarships were established to support students in the New Zealand School of Music who demonstrate exceptional talent in violin performance. The purpose of these scholarships is to foster the performance careers of exceptionally talented musicians who have demonstrated a strong and clear commitment to a career in violin (or cello) performance. They are available at Honours or undergraduate level. There are two scholarships offered in perpetuity, one for Honours students and one for undergraduate students. This scholarship will be awarded to the most talented student in violin performance (second choice, cello performance) enrolling in their first year of an undergraduate degree in the New Zealand School of Music. The recipient will be expected to demonstrate engagement and contribute to the community and environment of the New Zealand School of Music, which may include participation in ensembles, presentations, or performances at NZSM or university events.
