Class of 1986 Women in Mechanical Engineering Scholarship

A scholarship, valued at up to $1,200, will be awarded annually to a student who identifies as a woman entering Year One of the Mechanical Engineering program at the University of Waterloo. The award specifically targets supporting women in mechanical engineering, a field where women are underrepresented. This fund is made possible by donations from the Mechanical Engineering Class of 1986, demonstrating alumni commitment to increasing diversity in engineering education. Selection is based on academic performance, completion of the Admissions Information Form (AIF), and an online video interview. No separate application is required beyond standard admission materials.
