CleftPALS Victoria Scholarship

The CleftPALS Victoria Scholarship is a foundation scholarship offered through Federation University Australia to support students studying in Nursing, Midwifery, or Speech Pathology. The scholarship is valued at $250 and is awarded to one student per year. Applicants must maintain a credit GPA or equivalent and can be domestic or international students at the continuing student level, pursuing Bachelor, Honours, or Postgraduate studies at the Ballarat location. CleftPALS Vic is a volunteer organization that supports families affected by cleft lip/palate conditions, which affects one in every 700 children. The organization provides support through contact parents, play dates, feeding equipment, newsletters, seminars, and family events throughout Melbourne and regional Victoria. They also advocate for cleft-affected families, conduct fundraising, and provide education to medical and general communities. This scholarship recognizes students pursuing careers in healthcare fields that directly support individuals and families affected by cleft conditions. By supporting this scholarship, students contribute to the broader mission of CleftPALS Victoria in helping families navigate the challenges of cleft lip/palate care.
