About this opportunity
The Clinician Researcher Training (CRT) program is a funding program of the Western Australian Future Health Research and Innovation (FHRI) Fund. The program supports health professionals pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in health and medical sciences with the goal of developing early- and mid-career researchers to achieve independent and self-sustaining careers. The program aims to enhance clinical trial capacity and expertise to improve the quality of clinical trials in Western Australia. Recipients receive a scholarship support package over up to 3.5 years for full-time studies and 7 years for part-time studies, including support for study, living and travel expenses, plus a protected allocation of up to $70,000 for project costs. Applicants must be registered clinicians employed at a Western Australian health service provider, public-private partnership provider, or private hospital, and must secure $80,000 in cash funding from other partner sources. The program is administered by the Office of Medical Research and Innovation (OMRI), WA Department of Health.
