About this opportunity
An award valued at $2,000 will be provided annually to a full-time graduate student enrolled in the Master's program in the School of Optometry & Vision Science in the Faculty of Science at the University of Waterloo. The award is made possible by a donation from Kristine Dalton to encourage trained optometrists to pursue research leading to clinical discoveries in the field of Vision Science.
Selection is based on academic excellence in the current program, with preference given to Doctors of Optometry, followed by students with international optometric education. This scholarship supports graduate students conducting research at the intersection of clinical optometry practice and vision science discovery.
The School of Optometry and Vision Science identifies candidates and selects recipients automatically each Winter term. No application is required from students, making this an automatically awarded scholarship for eligible students demonstrating strong academic performance in the Vision Science Master's program.
