About This Opportunity

The Cloellen Mauser Cardinal Scholarship supports single heads of household with dependent children who are pursuing higher education at Tarrant County College. The scholarship is designed to help students who are pursuing either an associate degree with the intention to transfer to a four-year institution or a certificate of completion program. This renewable scholarship recognizes the unique challenges faced by single parents managing both family responsibilities and educational goals. Eligible applicants must be currently enrolled at or entering Tarrant County College and maintain a minimum GPA of 2.0 at TCC, or if they are first-time TCC students, must have a high school equivalent or passing GED score. Students must enroll in at least 6 credit hours during the award period. Preference is given to applicants who meet federal or state guidelines for financial need. The scholarship may be renewed for up to four consecutive fall/spring semesters, providing sustained support for students throughout their academic journey. To maintain the scholarship, recipients must achieve a minimum semester GPA of 2.0 and complete at least 6 credit hours each semester. Students are automatically considered for this scholarship based on their completed General Application through the Tarrant County College Foundation scholarship portal.
