About This Opportunity

The Cobham-Ultra UK Undergraduate Scholarship is a prestigious award offered by Northumbria University in partnership with Cobham-Ultra. This scholarship supports UK/Home students from underrepresented backgrounds who are pursuing Engineering, Environment, Mathematics, or Physics programmes at Northumbria University. Two scholarships of £3,500 each are awarded to eligible students during their first year of undergraduate study only. The funding can be used to enhance the overall university learning experience. The scholarship aims to ensure that higher education is accessible to all talented students and supports Northumbria's 'Higher Education without Barriers' campaign. Students must meet specific widening participation criteria, including living in neighborhoods with low progression rates to higher education, being from Black, Asian or Minority Ethnic (BAME) backgrounds, or having declared a physical/mental health condition, long-term illness, or learning difference. Recipients are required to provide thank you letters and progress updates to the donor as part of their obligations.
