About This Opportunity
One scholarship, valued at $10,000, will be provided annually to a female PhD student registered full-time in the School of Computer Science in the Faculty of Mathematics at the University of Waterloo. Selection will be based on academic excellence with a minimum cumulative average of 80% or equivalent and demonstrated research or interest in the area of natural language processing. The School of Computer Science will identify candidates and select recipients based on applications for admission with award payments starting in the fall term. This fund is made possible by a donation from Cohere and is designed to support women in an underrepresented field. The scholarship will be awarded in addition to any minimum funding the student is offered.
