About this opportunity

The Colin F. MacDonald Scholarship is awarded to a high school student entering the University of Prince Edward Island who has an expressed interest and involvement in the UPEI Women's Hockey Program. Preference is given to students entering the Business Administration program. The scholarship honors Colin F. MacDonald, a 1973 UPEI BBA graduate who enjoyed a distinguished 33-year career in banking with TD Canada Trust, rising from management trainee to District Vice President. The scholarship was established by TD Canada Trust and the Ontario Central Leadership Team as a tribute to Colin's commitment to leadership principles and dedication to the bank. Colin and his wife Brenda also contributed to ensure the fund's growth. Colin began his career in Montreal, advanced through various roles including commercial credit management in Halifax and branch manager in Fredericton, and spent his final 14 years in leadership positions in Guelph, Ontario. He and Brenda continue to vacation in Prince Edward Island with their two children.
