About this opportunity
The Colleen MacDougall Graduate Student Travel Awards are awarded annually to a maximum of three graduate students at the University of Prince Edward Island to support travel for presentation of their scholarly work at a national or international conference. The award was established in memory and honour of Colleen MacDougall, who graduated from the Masters of Science program at UPEI in 2009 and served as President of the Graduate Students' Association from 2007-2008. Colleen passionately believed in the value of travel and the importance of graduate students presenting their research findings to the public at conferences and meetings around the world. An integral part of the graduate student experience is to pursue research and present findings not only locally, but at conferences and meetings internationally. This travel award helps graduate students achieve this valuable experience as part of their academic and professional development.
