College JumpStart Pay It Forward Scholarship

The $1,000 College JumpStart Pay It Forward Scholarship allows students to share a time that they have paid it forward. The scholarship invites applicants to reflect on a time when someone did something kind for them and this motivated them to do something kind for someone else, or write about any topic of their choice. The personal statement is judged on content rather than writing style, with an emphasis on substance. The scholarship is open to current high school students (10th-12th grade) and college students, or those planning to enter college within the next 12 months. Financial need is not considered, nor are grades or test scores. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or legal residents and complete the online application including a personal statement of 250 words or less.
