College of Education Alumni and Friends

The College of Education Alumni and Friends scholarship supports full-time students majoring in one of the options available in the College of Education at Eastern Illinois University. Recipients must maintain an overall GPA of at least 3.0, and financial need is a consideration in the selection process. Applicants must submit an essay describing their involvement in student activities at Eastern Illinois University. Special consideration is given to applicants who are planning a study abroad experience for the academic year in which the award is being provided, and the essay should describe upcoming study abroad plans if applicable. The award is announced in the Spring and disbursed in the Fall. Recipients may be eligible to apply for the award again provided they continue to meet the stated criteria.
