About this opportunity
The Colt Foundation awards up to four PhD Fellowships each year to enable holders to study for a PhD in occupational or environmental health at a UK university. The Fellowships are normally for three years, but the Foundation will consider applications for awards over shorter periods from applicants who have already started a PhD but do not have full funding from other sources to complete their degree. The Foundation selects Fellows based on the academic track record of the applicant, the quality of the research project, and the training environment including supervisor commitment. The Foundation is particularly keen to support individuals with potential to become future research leaders in occupational and environmental health. International students are welcome to apply, though they must cover the difference between UK/home and international fees themselves. The Fellowship provides three elements of funding: a stipend, up to £5,000 per year towards research expenses, and full fees for UK students.
