About This Opportunity

The KOSPIE scholarship program offers students from Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT) the opportunity to complete a project work as part of their master's thesis under the guidance of a German professor at one of the TU9 technical universities. The program is designed for students in Engineering, Mathematics and Natural Sciences to conduct research at leading German technical universities including RWTH Aachen, TU Braunschweig, TU Darmstadt, TU Dresden, Leibniz Universität Hannover, Karlsruher Institut für Technologie (KIT), and Technische Universität München (TUM). The scholarship includes a monthly stipend of 992 euros, health and accident insurance coverage, a 4-6 week German language course at the host university, a one-off research allowance of 266 euros, a monthly rent subsidy where appropriate, and a lump sum travel subsidy. The program runs for 7 months from September to March, allowing students to complete substantial research work as part of their master's thesis in a collaborative environment between Indian and German academic institutions.
