Commissioner Gipson Annual Scholarship

The Commissioner Gipson Annual Scholarship was established in 2019 by H. McCarthy Gipson, BA '71, to support undergraduate students at the University at Buffalo. This scholarship provides financial assistance to sophomore, junior, or senior undergraduate students who maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA. Preference is given to students with a parent who is a Western New York law enforcement officer, recognizing the service and sacrifice of law enforcement families in the region. The scholarship aims to help students continue their education and achieve their academic goals while honoring the contributions of law enforcement officers to the Western New York community.
