About this opportunity
The Commonwealth Bank Indigenous Scholarship is part of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Education Scholarship Scheme at The University of Queensland. This scholarship was established in 2024 by Commonwealth Bank to further their longstanding commitment to the financial wellbeing, education and career pathway opportunities of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. The scholarship provides financial support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students experiencing financial hardship who are enrolled in coursework programs at UQ. The scholarship is maintained by income generated from an underlying endowment fund. Preference is given to students enrolled in the Faculty of Business, Economics and Law, particularly those studying accounting. Applicants must demonstrate financial hardship and Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander status. The scholarship is awarded annually through a single application process that considers candidates for multiple scholarships within the scheme.
