Commonwealth Indigenous Scholarships

Commonwealth Indigenous Scholarships are funded through the Indigenous Student Success Program provided by the Commonwealth of Australia and offered by Southern Cross University. There are two forms available: Commonwealth Indigenous Accommodation Scholarships (5 on offer) and Commonwealth Indigenous Education Costs Scholarships (7 on offer). These scholarships support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students experiencing financial hardship who are studying any course or degree. Recipients must be studying a minimum of 96 credit points in a calendar year for full value, with the value pro-rated for lesser enrolments (minimum 48 credit points annually). Students can receive one education cost scholarship and one accommodation scholarship at any one time. The scholarship provides approximately $32,000 total funding to help Indigenous students overcome financial barriers to higher education.
