About This Opportunity

Commonwealth Shared Scholarships are postgraduate scholarships jointly funded by the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission (CSC) in the UK and participating UK universities, including the University of Bristol. These scholarships are intended for high-quality postgraduate students from Least Developed and/or middle-income Commonwealth countries who have not already studied for a year or more in a high-income country and would not otherwise afford to study in the UK. The CSC attracts individuals with outstanding talent and identifiable potential from all backgrounds, supporting them to become leaders and innovators when they return to their home countries. This work combines sustainable development with the UK national interest and provides opportunities for international partnerships and collaboration. Six awards are available for the 2026/27 academic year for Commonwealth Shared candidates who have applied for eligible one-year taught postgraduate programmes at the University of Bristol in areas including health law, artificial intelligence for medicine, climate change, environmental policy, global development, medical statistics, public policy, and sustainable engineering.
