About this opportunity
The Commonwealth Teaching Scholarship Program provides financial support to new undergraduate and postgraduate teacher education students in Australia. The scholarship provides up to $40,000 to new undergraduate and up to $20,000 to new postgraduate teacher education students. In return for a scholarship, recipients need to teach in government schools or government-run early learning settings after finishing their degrees. Priority will be given to First Nations applicants. To be eligible, applicants must be Australian citizens commencing an Australian accredited teaching degree, starting their degree in the first semester or first study period of the year they apply, study full-time for the duration of the scholarship funding, and be willing to commit to teach in a government school or government-run early learning setting in Australia after graduation.
