Communities Fund

The Aviva Foundation Communities Fund supports UK-based charitable organisations working on financial wellbeing and climate action. Organisations approved to participate can receive up to £25,000 in match funding per calendar year, with a maximum of £250 matched for each unique donation. The fund aims to donate over £2 million annually, including up to £1.5 million in match funding and over £0.5 million in donations directed by Aviva employees. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis throughout the year. The fund supports two focus areas: financial wellbeing (helping people feel more secure and in control of their money through budgeting support, debt advice, financial education, or money management) and climate action (helping communities prevent, prepare for, and adapt to climate impacts through nature restoration, green space access, or education for sustainability). Organisations whose core mission aligns with either focus area can apply for core running costs, while those with projects that clearly address these areas can apply for project-specific funding. The fund is administered through Crowdfunder UK and applications are accepted from registered charities, CIOs, CICs, and Companies Limited by Guarantee with annual income under £1 million.
