About This Opportunity

The Veolia Environmental Trust Community Grant provides funding for improvements to community buildings and outdoor spaces with a vision for a healthy environment where communities can thrive. The grant supports projects that promote community action and wellbeing, are inclusive and accessible to everyone, inspire the creation of sustainable carbon neutral community spaces, and protect and enhance biodiversity and natural habitats. Eligible projects include physical improvement works to buildings or outdoor spaces with public access such as community centres, public parks, play areas, sports grounds, woodlands, nature reserves, and community gardens. The grant is available to charitable not-for-profit organizations that have been established for at least two years, Environmental Bodies registered with ENTRUST under Object D, and Local Authorities. Projects must be accessible to the public for a minimum of 16 hours per week and must physically start within four months of being awarded the grant and complete within 12 months. A Contributing Third Party (CTP) payment of 10% of the grant amount must be arranged with the landfill operator before funds can be released.
