About This Opportunity

The Community Support Fund for Thetford provides grants of up to £5,000, and up to £10,000, for Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) organisations operating in Thetford and positively impacting the lives of Thetford residents. The fund aims to build community capacity, cohesion and resilience within Thetford by supporting local organisations to respond to community priorities. This funding has been made possible by the national Pride in Place programme, a government initiative designed to boost local economies, empower communities and raise living standards. The fund supports projects aligned with Pride in Place Strategic Objectives: Thriving Places, Stronger Communities, and Taking Back Control. Funding is available to small to medium sized organisations actively making Thetford a great place to live and visit. Eligible projects could improve skills and employability of residents, improve community cohesion in the town, improve health and wellbeing outcomes, bring new or enhance existing opportunities and activities to residents, or strengthen heritage, culture and arts in Thetford. Organisations can utilise this funding for core costs ensuring sustainability, ongoing costs related to sustaining activities delivered locally, or piloting new activities responding to community need. For larger grants up to £10,000, organisations must demonstrate they are connected to other local organisations and working in partnership with at least one other organisation or group.
