Composers' retreats (arbejdsophold i refugieboliger)

The purpose of the retreats is to give composers and songwriters opportunities to seek new inspiration in a new setting – and to find the peace and quiet required to create new music. The retreats take place in specially selected properties in Denmark and abroad. The Composers' retreat grant gives composers and songwriters a possibility for working retreats in properties located in Denmark and abroad. The work residencies are self-organised. Each retreat lasts one week, except for Kaninhullet on South Zealand, which lasts five days. Retreats are available in Lofoten, Lille Skiveren in North Jutland, Kaninhullet on South Zealand and Musikanterhuset on Langeland. From 2026, work residencies in New York will no longer be offered. Instead, all members of Koda can apply for work residencies at the retreat Musikanterhuset on Langeland.
