The Congregational & General Charitable Trust awards grants for building projects to churches of the Protestant tradition, including the United Reformed and Congregational denominations. Grants range from £1,000 to £25,000 and are directly linked to the cost of the project involved, with a maximum of 25% of total project costs (to the nearest £100). The Trust supports capital projects involving building work such as repairs, improvements, or extensions. The Trust distributes up to £290,000 towards approved projects each quarter, with applications reviewed quarterly in March, June, September, and December.
