Copernicus Hamburg: Copernicus Fellowship Programme

COPERNICUS – Verein zur Förderung der Ausbildung ost- und mitteleuropäischer Studierender e.V. Original Source

About This Opportunity

Copernicus Hamburg awards fellowships to Eastern and Central European, North African and Central Asian students every semester. The fellowships last about 6 months and combine academic study with practical internship experience. In the first 3 months of their stay in Germany, fellows visit the university, and in the last 2 to 3 months they complete an internship in a company, public authority or organization. Copernicus expects fellows to provide evidence of achievements through homework, oral or written exams during the semester. The internship is organized by Copernicus together with the fellow, with opportunities in international companies, law firms, authorities or organizations. Fellows must demonstrate good to very good German language skills (level B2 or C1) and proof of societal engagement. The program is designed to support students from eligible regions in gaining both academic and professional experience in Hamburg, Germany.
