Cordwainers BA Placement Bursary

The Cordwainers BA Placement Bursary is a £4,500 award available to second-year students enrolled on the BA Cordwainers Footwear or BA Cordwainers Bags and Accessories courses at London College of Fashion, University of the Arts London. The bursary is provided by The Worshipful Company of Cordwainers, a historic Livery Company that has been involved in education and training since the medieval period. The scholarship aims to ensure BA Cordwainers courses remain accessible to talented students regardless of their background and economic circumstances, supporting students undertaking the Diploma of Professional Studies Placement in the Industry year commencing in September 2025. The award is assessed based on both financial need and academic merit, with applications welcome from students in financial hardship who will benefit from undergraduate studies to realize their full potential. For Home students, the bursary provides a contribution towards tuition fees, course costs, and living expenses, while International students receive a contribution to tuition fees only. Tuition fees are paid directly to the University, and living expenses for Home students are paid in termly instalments via BACS.
